PepperDreams are a duo of the folk-pop genre, born in 2017 in an untouched valley in the Italian part of Switzerland.
The duo Mattia Beffa and Susanna Lepori share a passion for roots music.
Their sound is the result of folk roots blended with the edgy melodies of modern pop.
The band’s name is meant to evoke the feeling that dreams have healing effects on the individual’s soul, just as pepper was once used by ancient civilizations for its healing powers on the human body.
PepperDreams write all their songs themselves and tell stories full of emotion. Together with their Production Team with Jonas Macullo they create folk-pop songs with moving intimacy and great attitude.
At Emergenza Festival Switzerland 2018 they were honored for their simple but brilliant songwriting. The same year PepperDreams played as a support band for the award-winning Prog-Rock group PFM (Awarded Forneria Marconi), and celebrated singer-songwriter Eugenio Finardi at the Beatles Days festival in Bellinzona.
The first EP “Suitcase full of dreams” was produced during the Pandemic in a small home studio inside a rustic Chalet nestled in the greenery of the picturesque village of Rossa, Calanca Valley. Songwriting sessions, lots of grilling, a dose of nature and carefreeness at an altitude of 1,000 meters strengthened a friendship and the team. After the release of “Suitcase full of dreams” PepperDreams brought their songs to the stage as a Trio with Jonas Macullo at the keys, who is now an official member of the group.

Der Name der Band soll das Gefühl hervorrufen, dass Träume eine heilende Wirkung auf die Seele des Menschen haben, so wie Pfeffer einst von den alten Zivilisationen wegen seiner heilenden Wirkung auf den menschlichen Körper verwendet wurde.
PepperDreams schreiben alle ihre Songs selbst und erzählen Geschichten voller Emotionen. Zusammen mit ihrem Produktionsteam mit Jonas Macullo kreieren sie Folk-Pop-Songs mit einer bewegenden Intimität und einer großartigen Einstellung.
Am Emergenza Festival Switzerland 2018 wurden sie für ihr einfaches, aber brillantes Songwriting ausgezeichnet. Im selben Jahr spielten PepperDreams als Vorgruppe der preisgekrönten Prog-Rock-Band PFM (Ausgezeichnete Forneria Marconi) und des berühmten Singer-Songwriters Eugenio Finardi beim Beatles Days Festival in Bellinzona.
Die erste EP “Suitcase full of dreams” wurde während der Pandemie in einem kleinen Heimstudio in einem rustikalen Chalet im malerischen Dorf Rossa im Calanca-Tal produziert. Songwriting-Sessions, viel Grillen, eine Portion Natur und Unbeschwertheit auf 1.000 Metern Höhe stärkten die Freundschaft und das Team. Nach der Veröffentlichung von “Suitcase full of dreams” brachten PepperDreams ihre Songs als Trio mit Jonas Macullo an den Tasten auf die Bühne, der nun ein offizielles Mitglied der Gruppe ist.

Il nome della band vuole evocare la sensazione che i sogni abbiano effetti curativi sull’anima dell’individuo, proprio come un tempo il pepe era usato dalle civiltà antiche per i suoi poteri curativi sul corpo umano.
PepperDreams scrivono tutte le loro canzoni da soli e raccontano storie piene di emozioni. Insieme al loro Team di produzione con Jonas Macullo creano canzoni folk-pop di un’intimità commovente e con grande attitudine.
All’Emergenza Festival Switzerland 2018 sono stati premiati per il loro songwriting semplice, ma geniale. Lo stesso anno PepperDreams hanno suonato come support band per il pluripremiato gruppo Prog-Rock PFM (Premiata Forneria Marconi), e il celebre cantautore Eugenio Finardi al Beatles Days festival di Bellinzona.
